Mercy was the youngest of 6 children and for some reason her mother took a dislike to her. She would often tie her to the table or lock her in cupboards and was rarely fed or spoken to. Mercy's mother was sent to jail and on her return abandoned Mercy at a shop in town. She came to us very traumatised but is working through it.
